I remember talking on the phone excitedly with Christina about her wedding day details and then the subject of an engagement session popped up. We joked about doing her session in Chicago where she’s currently living with her fiance. We also talked about photographing her session in Christina’s home state of Pennsylvania. We decided Chicago is way more fun!

I’ve never been to Chicago but it was on my bucket list. And since I’m crazy and love adventure and any opportunity to see and photograph in a new city, I said yes!

Christina was gracious enough to make this trip happen and helped me out along the way in finding a great hotel and meet up spot for us to photograph their session. Christina suggested North Avenue Beach. I was immediately in love with this location upon arrival. I was already in love with Chicago. We arrived a day and a half prior to their session, so we got to explore, see the architecture and of course have some authentic Chicago deep dish pizza. Yes friends, it’s as good as you’d think it would be! I had time to stop at the Chicago History Museum, where I learned a ton. They met in college…Notre Dame to be exact! They became best friends before ultimately falling in love. Love lead us all here and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of their history and wedding day.
