Scottie’s sister Kelly said it best in her maid of honor speech when she said, “You can’t help but smile when you’re around Scottie!”. It’s so true. Since the day I met her she’s been like a ball of sunshine every time we’ve interacted. I knew Scottie through the years of photographing a few of her friends weddings so when I found out she was engaged I couldn’t wait to meet the lucky guy! Upon meeting Eric I was immediately impressed. Eric was just as kind, sweet and friendly towards me. And together, they were the perfect pair. I just loved watching the two of them snuggle up for me at their engagement session and wedding.
Scottie’s wedding was the perfect June day. Beautiful weather, clear skies. At this wedding, I got to see quite a few familiar faces. I believe there were 7 past Erin Keough Photography brides in attendance. Such a great feeling! Pheasant Run Farm Bed and Breakfast was a gorgeous setting for such a fun and lively crowd. Scottie and Eric said their vows on top of a small waterfall as their guests looked on from below. I had never seen something like this before and it truly was magical. Their vows brought a tear to everyone’s eyes and laughter filled the air throughout the entire ceremony. Just look at those smiles post “first kiss”! We all had a blast during portrait time. Especially me…would you look at that beautiful crew! The reception did not let me down either. Tons of emotion and beautiful details to photograph. Enjoy my favorites from this day. And to the new Mr. & Mrs. Buckland, I thank you for allowing me to spend the day with you and your wonderful families. And thank you for treating Derek and I like family.
